Life throws curve balls at you, you...

...learn to make the best of the situation and start all over again. I apologize for the lack of blog posts lately. I've been quite busy lately. I started working for a law firm here in Los Angeles after I got laid off from the non profit I was working at. I literally went a week without a job, then I managed to snag another one. I used craislist and was able to find one! Not only that but I also came across this other law firm that is based in NYC but have an office here in LA. So I applied and I got an interview. So I'm waiting for my date and time confirmation. Hopefully that goes well because its better pay and there are perks involved as well. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get that job offer. And, yes I will quit at the current law firm I am working at. If not then I'll continue working at the law firm for the next 6 months and try to pay off my car and loans as much as possible. Still giving it a bit of time until I apply for the teaching credential and graduate school. I'm seriously reconsidering taking the GREs again. Maybe now that I am working I'll be able to afford them and possible set up a concrete date to take them and study for them as I should. I haven't had much time for sewing. :( I have a skirt to finish and I also need to organize/clean up my sewing area, which is really me having all of my sewing items on my desk. But this is it for now. I have a lunch date to keep. The fall here in LA is processing. Last night it got down to the mid 50s and I have to admit I was a bit cold. LA has made me soft again. *sigh* I miss DC very much still. I wonder if I'll ever get over the fact that I left DC after I had fallen in love with it.
